They listen without second thoughts
As we laugh or grumble or groan;
Through ups and downs, through thick and thin,
Our friends are our comfort zone.
New games and movies and songs and toys,
It’s great to discover new things;
Who better than with our own true friends
To share the joy that life brings!
No matter the colour or race or gender,
Through differences we can unite;
They offer to us a different perspective,
Our friends bring new things to light.
Some days are tougher to cope with
And some things do not go as planned;
That’s why we need a friend to be there,
To lend us a helping hand.
They stand by us, right us when we’re wrong,
Together through the motions, we go;
The most important part of friendship is that
Our friends, they help us grow!
